Hopply is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our Chrome Extension and related services.
2. Data We Collect
- Personal Information: Information you provide, such as your name, email, address, work experience, education, and preferences.
- Usage Data: Information about how you use the extension, such as form fields detected and filled.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To send your data to our backend API for the sole purpose of processing it with AI services (Anthropic or OpenAI) to match and fill job application forms.
- We do not use your data for any other purpose.
- We do not store or retain any data sent to our backend API; all processing is transient and for immediate response only.
4. Data Storage
- All personal data you enter in the extension is stored locally in your browser and, if you are signed into Chrome, may be synced to your Google account using Chrome's sync storage, which is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- We do not store any of your personal data on our servers.
5. Data Sharing
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party, except for the sole purpose of processing your data with our AI API partners (Anthropic or OpenAI) to match and fill job application forms.
- Your data is only shared with our backend API and, for the purpose of AI processing, with Anthropic or OpenAI. No data is retained by us after processing.
- Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be shared for analytics and product improvement, but this does not include any personal or form data.
6. Third-Party Services
- Hopply uses third-party AI services (Anthropic and OpenAI) to process your data for form field matching. Only the minimum necessary data is sent for this purpose, and no personal identifiers are included unless required for the matching process.
- Neither Hopply nor its backend API retains any of your data after the AI processing is complete.
7. Your Choices
- You may review, edit, or delete your data stored in the extension at any time.
- You may uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data.

9. Security
- We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) when communicating with our backend API and AI partners.

- We do not store any of your data on our servers after processing.
10. Children's Privacy
- Hopply is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
12. User Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

- Your data may be processed by our AI partners (Anthropic or OpenAI) in countries outside your own. We only use reputable AI providers that comply with applicable data protection laws.
- By using Hopply, you consent to the transfer of your data for the purposes described in this policy.
15. Google Chrome Sync
- If you use Chrome sync, your data may be stored on Google Cloud infrastructure and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
